Discover the Jizera Mountains

The Izera Mountains, a picturesque mountain range in the Western Sudetes, stretch across the Czech Republic and Poland forming a natural border between the two countries. Its largest area lies on the Polish side, between Szklarska Poręba and Świeradów-Zdroj.

Discover the Jizera Mountains

The Jizera Mountains are famous for their two faces: a gentle one, dominated by picturesque meadows and murmuring streams, and a cold one, shaped by a chilly climate that is somewhat reminiscent of Siberia. This contrast adds to the charm of this mountainous area.

Attractions of the Jizera Mountains

The Jizera Mountains cover an area of about 1,000 square kilometers, of which 400 on the Polish side are divided into two massifs: Grzbiet Wysoki (the High Ridge) with Wysoka Kopa (the High Dome, 1126 meters ASL) and the Kamienica Ridge with Kamienica (973 meters ASL). Not particularly high, yet stunning mountain peaks, picturesque stream valleys, rocky outcrops - all this awaits tourists regardless of the season.

When visiting the Jizera Mountains, it is worth visiting:

  • Izerski Stóg (1107m ASL), which can be reached by gondola lift from Świeradow-Zdrój,
  • Smrek (1124 m ASL) with its famous viewing tower,
  • Wysoki Kamień (1,058 meters above sea level) with panoramic views of the Giant Mountains, the Jizera Mountains, the Kaczawskie Mountains and the Janowickie Ore Mountains,
  • Polana Jakuszycka (Jakuszycka Glade) - with popular cross-country ski trails.

Discover the beauty of the Jizera Mountains during your stay at Elements Hotel. Comfortable conditions, beautiful views and an unforgettable experience guaranteed.

Thanks to their fairly gentle slopes, the Jizera Mountains are an ideal place for family mountain excursions. They are also popular with mountain biking enthusiasts. In winter, Nordic skiers flock here to enjoy more than 100 kilometers of groomed trails.
