Czarci Młyn (the Devil's Mill) is a living Bread Museum, an open-air manufacturing museum, where visitors can participate in workshops (after prior sign-up) replicating the old cycle of baking bread - “from seed to loaf.” The facility is located in a former water mill from the late 19th century.
You can still admire the mill's original equipment renovated in 2011-2012. This allowed to launch a replica of the water wheel and to adapt the buildings to the needs of the disabled. In the living Bread Museum, the old milling and baking equipment is displayed in three rooms: Bread Room, with the Devil's Wheel, and Technology Room. Among the biggest attractions is a 100-year-old working bread oven. It is also worth seeing the Feast Hall and the Herb and Plant Garden. The specialty of the Devil's Mill is bread baked on-site, served with lard and pickled cucumber, or with freshly churned butter.
