Thanks to the 10-kilometer route of Izerski Szlak Cietrzewia, starting at the upper station of the Ski&Sun Gondola Lift Świeradów Zdrój, you can easily get to Polana Izerska (the Jizer Glade), Chatka Górzystów, and even Jakuszyce while traversing the most beautiful sections of the Jizera Mountains.
The route:
From the upper station of the Ski&Sun railroad, take the asphalt road down the GREEN TRAIL below the chalet (beware of a steep descent) and turn left next to the wooden shed. Behind the turn, we immediately face the first uphill (1 km, average slope 5%), on which we reach Łącznik, the highest point of the route (1066 m asl). Here, the asphalt road ends begins a gravel one called the Telephone Road (RED TRAIL) which we follow downhill for 6 km (average slope 3%) and reach POLANA IZERSKA. We turn right onto the asphalt road (BLUE TRAIL). At the nearest intersection, we turn left and go downhill (BLUE TRAIL). On the left is the CHATKA GÓRZYSTÓW chalet. For this stage, Ski&Sun prepares for you the Jizera Cietrzewia Trail. Its further part runs through HALA IZERSKA and the peat bog leading to the Orle chalet.
